Used Yamaha YZ450F for sale
The Yamaha YZ450F is a 450cc four stroke motocross bike, built for the track and sold on hours rather than kilometres.
20 Yamaha YZ450Fs are listed on MWMX right now (2013 to 2026 models), asking $3,500 to $13,900, most around $7,500. Every listing shows the hours, photos and where the bike is, and you can message the seller or make an offer without an account.
A Yamaha YZ450F is a race four stroke, so hours matter more than years: ask when the valves were last checked and the top end last done (60 to 100 hours is a normal rebuild interval on a hard raced one), listen for valve or clutch noise on a cold start, and look for a bent subframe, stripped threads and a sprocket with hooked teeth. Ask for the service history (members log theirs in the MWMX Digital Garage and it shows on the listing), look at the hours against the price, and check the frame and swingarm for cracks, the fork seals for weeping and the linkage and steering head bearings for play.

Good to know
- How much is a used Yamaha YZ450F?
- The Yamaha YZ450Fs listed on MWMX today are asking $3,500 to $13,900, with most around $7,500. Year, hours and whether it has been raced move the price more than anything else; a bike with a logged service history sells faster and for more.
- How many hours is a lot on a Yamaha YZ450F?
- On a race four stroke under 50 hours is low, 50 to 100 is normal and over 100 wants a service history to go with it. The number that matters is hours since the last top end, valve check or rebuild, so ask for that rather than the total.
