Enduro · Two stroke
Husqvarna's fuel injected 300 two stroke enduro bike. The same engine and frame as the KTM 300 EXC TPI with different suspension, a composite subframe and its own bodywork. Sold in Australia from 2018 to 2026, 9 model years.
The TE 300i is the Husqvarna version of the 300 two stroke enduro bike, built in the same factory as the KTM 300 EXC TPI with the same fuel injected engine and the same frame. Husqvarna gives it a composite subframe and airbox, different WP suspension settings, a Magura clutch and its own look. It is registrable, electric start, and one of the best selling bush bikes in Australia.
It suits the same rider as the KTM: tight, steep, rocky country, hard enduro, and anyone who is over servicing a four stroke. Which one to buy usually comes down to price, the dealer and which colour you like, because they ride nearly the same.
Gearbox oil every 10 to 15 hours (about 800 ml of a light gear oil or JASO MA 10W 40), air filter every ride in dust, and keep the oil injection tank topped up with a good full synthetic two stroke oil. Never let it run dry. Rings around 60 to 80 hours and a piston around 100 to 150 for a trail bike, sooner if raced.
Clean the power valve at every top end. Grease the linkage and swingarm after wet rides and keep the coolant fresh; the fan is standard.
Engine hours between jobs: the schedule the Digital Garage tracks for this bike, based on the manual. Racers and hard riders go sooner, as above. Ride in sand or mud and halve the engine ones.

Make sure the oil injection has never run dry and the bike idles cleanly hot. Look for a dented pipe, bent radiators, a cracked sump guard and a worn clutch. Check the rego status and whether it has been de restricted. Check the composite subframe for cracks around the mounting points.

Can fail or clog on the 2018 to 2023 bikes. Heavy smoke or stalling at idle wants a look.
Strong, but check the mounting points for cracks on a bike that has been crashed.
Rocks find the pipe. Small dents are fine.
