Husqvarna FE350
Husqvarna's 350 four stroke enduro bike. The same engine and frame as the KTM 350 EXC F with a composite subframe, different suspension and a Magura clutch. Sold in Australia from 2014 to 2026, 13 model years.
About the Husqvarna FE350
The FE 350 is the Husqvarna version of the bike that ended the 250 versus 450 argument. It weighs what a 250 weighs, it makes enough power for anything, and it is registrable, electric start and hydraulic clutch. Husqvarna gives it a composite subframe and airbox, its own WP suspension settings and its own bodywork.
It suits a trail rider who does a bit of everything, an enduro racer, and anyone who finds a 250 lacking and a 450 too much. Which of the FE 350 and the KTM 350 EXC F to buy usually comes down to price and the dealer, because they ride nearly the same.
What changed by year
- 2014 to 2016
- The first Husqvarna FE 350 after the brand moved to Austria. Electric and kick start.
- 2017 to 2019
- New generation: lighter engine and frame, WP Xplor fork, electric start only.
- 2020 to 2023
- Revised frame, engine and mapping. 2023 was the next new generation.
- 2024 onwards
- Updated engine, frame and bodywork. The current bike.
Servicing a FE350
Oil every 10 to 15 hours for trail riding, sooner if raced, with a filter every second change. It takes about a litre with a filter and a JASO MA 10W 60 or 10W 50 full synthetic. The Magura clutch uses mineral oil; check the reservoir cap.
Air filter every ride in dust. Valves hold well but check them at the interval in the table. Plan on a piston around 60 to 80 hours for a trail bike. Grease the linkage and swingarm after wet rides and keep the coolant fresh.

Buying a used Husqvarna FE350
Ask about hours, the last valve check and whether it has been de restricted. Make sure it starts on the button hot and cold and the clutch lever is firm. Look at the airbox, the linkage bearings, the sump guard and the radiators. Check the composite subframe mounts for cracks. Check the rego status and whether it has a roadworthy.

Battery and starter
A lithium battery that hates sitting flat. Keep it on a tender.
Restriction parts
A flat FE 350 is usually still restricted. Check the throttle stop and muffler insert.
Overheating in tight going
Fit a fan if it does not have one.
