MWMX Live Auctions

An MWMX Live Auction is a timed online auction of a motorcycle listed on the MWMX Marketplace, run by MWMX (ACN 687 296 215) on behalf of the seller named on the listing. Bidding happens on the MWMX website. The livestream is commentary only; the website is the record of bids.
You must be 18 or over and register for the specific auction before it starts, with a name, an email address you confirm and a mobile number, or through your MWMX account. MWMX approves each registration and may decline or remove a bidder at any time without giving a reason.
Every bid you place is an offer to buy the motorcycle at that price. A bid cannot be withdrawn once placed. If you are the highest bidder when the auction ends and the reserve (if any) has been met, you have bought the motorcycle at that price.
Each auction runs for the time shown on the page. A bid placed inside the final soft close window (shown on the page, usually 60 seconds) extends the auction so that the same window remains. The auction ends when the clock reaches zero. The server time is final; your device clock is not.
A seller may set a reserve price which is not shown. If the auction says "No reserve", the highest bid at the end wins regardless of amount. If a reserve applies and the highest bid does not meet it, the motorcycle is passed in and no sale occurs.
The winning bidder and the seller are emailed straight away. The seller will contact the winner within 24 hours. Full payment is due to the seller within 48 hours of the auction ending, by a method agreed between buyer and seller. MWMX does not hold funds for a Live Auction. Collection is arranged with the seller.
If payment is not made within 48 hours the seller may offer the motorcycle to the next highest bidder or relist it, and the winning bidder may be removed from future auctions.
The motorcycle is sold as described on its listing, as is. The listing, photos, history and livestream are the seller’s representations. Ask questions before you bid. Nothing here limits any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot be excluded.
The seller may withdraw the motorcycle before the auction ends. MWMX may pause, restart or cancel an auction if the website, the stream or the bidding fails, and may void bids placed during a fault. MWMX is not liable for loss caused by an outage on your device, your connection or ours.
A seller with a live Marketplace listing may ask for a spot on an announced auction night and set a reserve (or none). MWMX chooses which motorcycles run on each night and may decline a request without giving a reason. Once accepted, the seller must have the motorcycle available for hand over to the winner after payment, must not sell it elsewhere before the auction ends unless they withdraw it first, and is responsible for the accuracy of the listing. The seller’s reserve is never shown to bidders.
There is no fee to register or bid, and no buyer’s premium on a Live Auction. Any future fee will be shown on the auction page before you register.
