MWMX stands for everything Australian moto. Founded by Australian and Indonesian Supercross champion Kale Makeham, it has been created by riders, for riders.
MWMX is founded on the goal of being a net positive to the sport of motorcycling in Australia.
After 20 years of racing with 6 years as a professional, owner and founder Kale Makeham decided to hang up the racing boots in 2015. It didn’t take long for the itch to come back, although this name not as a racer, but a coach instead.
KaleMakehamCoaching was then founded in 2017, travelling club to club doing in person schools as well as 1 on 1 sessions all around the country. It didn’t take long for the coaching to expand into the giveaways, partnering with The Blue Tree Project in 2021 to give away our very first TTR110.
During covid it became impossible to host our events and the motorbikes were put on pause, but once things returned to normal it was back to action and that’s when MWMX was formed.
Things have stepped up since, renaming to the MWMX Motocross Coaching App with over 17,000 riders improved and continuing to host weekly in-person coaching events.
At time of writing we’ve also given away over $500’000 worth of bikes back into the MX community and over $35’000 donated to clubs and privateers.
We’ve also created the MWMX Show which has given voices to Aussie moto legends and hours of listening content to fans and riders alike.
The MWMX Ride Days has featured our iconic “Keyhunt” challenges as an absolute blast as well as the free Coaching and meet and greets that we host once a month.
Then lastly but not least the newly formed MWMX Motocross Coaching App, truly a world leader for riders wanting to improve to skills, helping recruit and retain new riders in the sport we love.
It is our vision to one day also have a in-person training facility, completing the circuit from entertainment, education and in-person experiences.
